New Youth Centre Proposals November 12, 2009
Posted by Leader of Havering in Havering Council.trackback
Havering Council has recently submitted planning proposals to build a new state-of-the-art youth centre in Harold Hill as part of the Harold Hill Ambitions Project.
The Big Lottery Fund is providing £4.7m to build the centre which will include; a juice bar/cafe, creche, dance and music performance space, a recording studio, a bike workshop, an information service and a computer suite.
During the Ambitions consultation, local people on the Hill told the Council that there needed to be more things for young people to do, and the new youth centre should certainly help.
Young people have been central to the development of the project with their views helping to create the final plans. If you’ve been involved with the plans for the new youth centre, please write in and let me know what you think.
Best wishes,
Michael

Don’t foget the lighting I phoned you about last year in Upper rainham Rd , at the tennis courts/play area, should help to keep the youngsters from loitering around Elm Park when it gets dark

With ref/ to the young people of Hornchurch, can you get some lighting put up by the tennis courts/play area in Upper Rainham Rd, I phoned you last year with reference to this but still no lights, would help stop the youngsters attacking Elm Park in the evenings and maybe reduce the constant police call out to that area
David
Dear David,
Many thanks for your comments on the blog. I have asked officers to look into the lighting situation by the tennis courts and I will in contact again shortly to give you an update on where things are.
Best wishes,
Michael
