Havering Show August 28, 2008
Posted by Leader of Havering in Havering Council.trackback
Last weekend the Havering Show returned for 2008 with an exciting mix of activities from live music and funfair rides to archery and medieval combat providing entertainment for all the family. This year was extra special as we had the first ever parade of Veterans at the Show to mark their contribution to our national defence. Along with representatives of Havering’s cadet organisations and to mark the Territorial Army’s Centenary, the Show was opened with a gun fire salute from our local TA unit.
Planet Havering also joined the Show for the first time this year adding an extra attraction, which along with a live performance from Bucks Fizz, the raising of the Olympic Flag and a host of activities in the main arena from falconry, dog agility displays and crusader knights made for a fun packed show. Let me know if you came along to the Show and which part you liked the most.
Best wishes,
Michael
why do we have to pay for a poor village fete. £14 for a family of 4 + £2 parking your having a laugh. I went in 2007 virtually £100 for the day. Thats why we didn’t bother this year. 3 miles down the road a town show that is free to enter. I live in havering but not proud of the havering show.If you want it to be a success make it free to enter. Then i will be willing to pay for parking. if the credit crunch continues what will the attendance figures be for 2009.
Thanks you for your message. The format and the charges for the Havering Show I’ve been informed are currently being reviewed ahead of next year’s event. The Council understands the issues that you have raised and will be considering them very carefully during the review.
Best wishes,
Michael
Havering Show. We have had a greeting card stall at the Havering Show for the last 6 years – the only show we ever do. Now we are told we have to have insurance which will cost us £78. Our stall only costs £67 – we can’t afford £213 for a two day show. This is ridiculous. How are any local people going to be able to run a stall at this show at these prices?
Please anwer.
Kathy.
Keepsake Cards.

I run a successful extremely talented dance school based in Dagenham, and Havering, called Lose Control. I would love for them to have the opportunity to showcase their talents infront of their our community.
I would be extremely greatful if you could tell me how to get involved in this event.
Many Thanks
